Due to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s amendments to legislation regarding patrons bringing wine into an establishment operating with a Virginia ABC license, Passion the Restaurant has implemented the following corkage policy. This policy will go into effect on July 1, 2011 and is subject to change without notice.
Guests will be allowed to bring in their own bottled wine within the following guidelines.
- At least 24 hour notice must be provided to Passion the Restaurant for a guest to be permitted to bring in their own wine.
- No more than two bottles of wine may be brought in per party. This includes large parties and banquets. Should a particular wine be desired for a larger party that the restaurant does not carry, guests may request that the restaurant attempt to obtain that wine from the appropriate distributor. Every effort will be made to accommodate these requests but no guarantees can be made.
- There will be a $15 corkage fee for each bottle. Bottles will be opened and served by the staff of Passion the Restaurant unless prior arrangements have been made.
- Passion the Restaurant assumes no responsibility for the integrity of the bottle or the cork. Nor does the restaurant assume any responsibility for breakage or spillage.
- No bottles available on the wine list of Passion the Restaurant will be allowed to be brought in. Exceptions may be made (but not guaranteed) if the bottle is not currently in stock. It is the responsibility of the guest to inquire as to whether a particular bottle is on the wine list and/or currently available.
This policy has been designed to help our guests further enhance their dining experience and special occasions, which they choose to share at Passion the Restaurant.
